Irene Closure
We will be closed today, tomorrow and monday. However, we will update the blog with news. If Irene fizzles, as I expect, we may open a few days in early september. The photo, a reminder of calm seas, is by Charleen Turner.
With all of our storm preparations, the biggest worry has been for *my* hummers. They have been gorging themselves over the last week or so, and the thought of having to bring the feeders inside on Saturday night through Sunday is causing me a bit of anxiety! I am keeping one feeder out in a relatively protected area, but I wonder if they will even attempt to feed in extremely high winds? I hope you are correct, Paul, and that Irene will fizzle out by the time she gets here. Our little friends have a big trip coming up, and we have no time for such nonsense!
